Message from the Mayor
Mark R. Hall, Mayor of Helena, is joining mayors across the country in asking residents to make a commitment to conserve water and cut pollution by taking part in a national contest aimed at drastically slashing water and energy use across the nation—and in return residents can win a new Toyota Prius, water saving fixtures, and hundreds of other prizes.
The Wyland Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, April 1-30, is a non-profit national community service campaign to see which leaders can best inspire their residents to make a series of online pledges to reduce water and energy usage.
Encouraging water conservation may be one of the most important things we can do to protect our environment and even our very existence on this earth. Every effort we take to conserve water will make a huge difference now and will help insure one of our most precious resources continues to be preserved for future generations. The one thing we can all agree on, no matter what our social or political beliefs, is that conserving water makes sense for us all!
So please, join me, along with other mayors across the Nation, in taking the pledge to save water.
